Louise Lindsay

Environmental Engineer

Louise holds a bachelor of Technology degree from Massey University.

She has been involved in the modelling of water reticulations for 15 years and has carried out extensive model construction and calibration projects for Local Authorities around New Zealand. These projects have involved researching and understanding the infrastructure and operations of the schemes, construction, calibration and interpretation of results of the models.

More recently, she has been involved in Asset Management and Decision Support Analysis for Local Authorities. It is through this work and her past experience in modelling that she has gained an understanding of the true need for accurate and reliable data. She has been involved in implementation of Asset Data systems and project work illustrating how data accuracy can be improved and uses of this data for decision support for Asset Managers. In conjunction with Asset Managers, she has developed processes for ensuring accuracy and reliability of data, using facilities such validation checks and alternative data capture solutions.
